This was a really sweet, schmaltzy holiday read. I admit that I cried over the situation a bit, and was very happy at how it all worked out. Just what I look for in a holiday read, good feels and a sweet HEA. Yes, it was instalove, but I can buy it in a holiday miracles story, even if the miracle isn't actually miraculous.

I'm adding nothing new to the accolades regarding this Christmas novella.

Both Trevor and Marc's dreams are derailed by circumstance. Trevor's path is out of his control, as he tries to keep a brave and strong front despite devastating odds. Marc's situation is of his own making, not truly living by striving towards a standard he'll never achieve.

Thankfully "snowmaggedon" makes an appearance, pushing these two together with very, very nice results. It sets up perfectly the miracle of being each other's fated savior, and it was painfully angsty, emotionally fulfilling, and hot as fire. A huge win on all fronts!

Beautiful! I absolutely love when the characters share such a deep connection like Marc and Trevor have.

I enjoyed this one

I understood Trevor’s stance here. He didn’t want to start something with someone while he was so sick. He felt it wouldn’t be fair to his partner for them to start something and then watch him die. This I could agree with. I didn’t feel like he did the right thing when he left Marc with just a letter but again understood as he would have struggled to stay his course.

I liked Marc and felt for him. His mother had created this need to prove himself and in his drive to become partner of the firm he shut himself off from all of the others trying to be friends with him. He isolated himself, so the good thing to come of his meeting Trevor and wanting to help him was that he opened himself up to the friendships on offer and actually found the friends he wanted and needed in his life.

I ending worked for me. The way it was resolved was well done. I thought it would go one way but then it went another that was better.

Good afternoon’s read

This was such a beautiful story with a great happy ending. I mean come on it's a Christmas story, what else were you expecting? ;-) I might have teared up a few times! Loved it!

Oh, where to start… A Fortunate Blizzard is a heartwarming holiday story filled with love, angst and possibilities. I love that this is between two older guys secure in their sexuality. Trevor is an artist who has just been given horrible news by his doctor. Marcus is a workaholic lawyer trying to impress his mother who rejected him because he was artistic and gay. These two are stranded together because of a blizzard and the chemistry is instant and combustible. But Trevor is dying and Marcus is going for partner in the firm neither can do long term. Maybe it is time for a Christmas miracle. A Fortunate Blizzard is everything you could want in a Christmas love story and I loved it.

I really loved this book. Marc and Trevor made me so happy. I knew there would be a HEA but I still got nervous for a few pages. I'd definitely recommend this book.
