Sparkling enjoyment easily digested. Witty, light, warm and actually pretty moving.

4.5? Started slow and hopped around frenetically and the 2nd half was spectacular.

I TORE though this one. Took bit to get use to the writing style but I liked this one a lot! Would recommend this to anyone especially creatives. Some parts of it I could really relate to as a ‘creative’. What does it mean to me if I don’t produce work or the work seems ‘small’ in terms of greatness? As life changes does/ should my work style and scale change? Kinda covers seasons of a creative in that sense I suppose.

Just a bit hard to follow. Didn’t see the humor in that is highly talked about.

What a fun, quirky book!

This was such a fun book. Its smart, ironic and witty. I highly recommend it!

I loved this for its madcap funniness (I laughed out loud, which I seldom do) and then got drawn into the plot. Then, in the last quarter or so, got bogged down in the odd ending. However. The more I think about it, the more I'm impressed with this little piece of fluff. The structure, and things she says about art, architecture, about the suppressing of one's need to create-- pretty genius. And I did love Bee.

This book was a fun ride through a creative author's imagination about a woman who is both a mom and a renegade struggling to revive her trashed career. The craft inspired me. The story entertained me. Now I want to see the movie.

Loved everything about this book. Such an interesting format. I laughed out loud and could not wait to see what would happen next. Outlandish and yet so real. A fun read.
