Jinshi is getting worse throughout the books and I’m not liking it.

First of all, he choked her and then pinned her laying on a bench? Very very questionable. Maomao even had to resort to kissing him to let him loosen his grip.
The story in itself was fun to read about though

The choking scene was a little confusing but after reading other peoples discussion on why it was included and what it signifies in their relationship, I think I understand it better now. Still a bit weird though.

Throughout this book you'll be in a dry spell for Jinshi and MaoMao scenes, especially in the second half but don't worry, an oasis will drown you in the final act.

In the scene towards the end there is suddenly what is described as choking between the two leads that is very much not consented and honestly seems to come out of left field for the character in question. Might just been the translation and my interpretation of it but it was kind of out of no where and if choking isn't your kink it might take you out if the epilgoue.
