The art is relatively fun and cute but the real stand-out here is (first time I have ever had this thought I believe) the typography. They delicately flirt with a comic book influence and layouts inflected by panels without ever being so obvious as to just use panels, instead laying text out every which way at different points and a variety of angles and divide the page up the way. One could also choose to read an anti-authoritarian message into this I suppose but it's very gossamer and not pushy to the point that I don't know that it was intentional, which seems about perfect for a kids book.

A cute story about a rooster who really wants to be a superhero! This story encourages kids to get up and dance as well. The illustrations are bright and fun, and sure to keep the attention.

My kids loved this book and the dance! They’re all walking around doing the chicken dance! I will be getting more books for them from this author!
We found out that being a super hero isn’t has easy as it seems.

Thanks to Amazon publishing and Brilliance publishing for gifting me a copy of this book.
