4 stars. Loved this. I’ve heard so much about Lynne Graham and I think this was a great book to get myself acquainted with her writing style. The story was great. It’s a marriage of convenience with a prickly hero and a headstrong and passionate heroine. I enjoyed both of them.

Tansy and Jude had such great chemistry and I loved how their relationship developed. The fact that Jude who was so tough and hard hearted was the first to say “I love you” was everything! It was perfect. The ending was great and the epilogue was so cute. I really had so much fun with this book and I definitely will be checking out more of this author’s work.

3.5 stars. Very straightforward marriage of convenience book.

I was temporarily impressed when the female main character in the beginning thinks to herself “keep your emotions separate!? Yeah right. This guy doesn’t know anything.“ And then later on in the book, she’s the one that is saying “I’m gonna keep my emotions separate“. It drove me crazy. I feel like there was an editing error there that dumbed her down.

I enjoyed it. No big issues. Very brief concern that he’s cheating but it gets cleared up right away. And I hate that she kept her sister a secret but she is young in this book. Thankfully, we don’t have to get a drawn out drama with that situation.

This dude definitely treats her like a child and doesn’t act like a partner.

But overall, it was enjoyable and I’m always thankful for a Hoopla audiobook.

Straightforward but surprising smart, I enjoyed this low-angst book about a billionaire and his convenient wife falling for each other.
