I love everything by Kate Clayborn. Nice people falling love while dealing with their issues. 💯 for me. Add in podcasting and a little bit of true crime stuff, and this one really worked for me!

There is just something about Kate Clayborn's writing and approach to her characters and story that SPEAKS TO ME. This was such a beautiful and emotional story. The love story was important but it served as a way for the FMC to grow and open herself up to people and close chapters from her past. The MMC's backstory and motivation held the weight it needed to give to the story and their personalities overall. I felt for him and his best friend and honestly I would listen to his podcast and I am definitely NOT a podcast girlie so it says a lot. Adam's family was lovely and I loved how easily Jess and her sister (Tegan) fit in. Also his relationship with Tegan was cute and already so family-like! One thing which could deter someone from reading this is that it really is very insta love and I don't mind that at all and the rest of the story makes up for it but it bears mentioning.
