I think this is an important book that many people should read, especially if they enjoy reading anything by Patricia Highsmith. She's a terrible person, yes, but her story is important for queer women, and just women in general.

Part of why this book works so well is just how compellingly flawed and fucked up and bitchy Pat Highsmith is as a character. This book does such an incredible job conveying her deep longing and bitterness and literary elitism and shame and conflict. It also has such great comic book and dream sequences (love Hannah Templer’s style and it 100% works with the slightly old-times feel its muted color and gesture lend the book.) One of those graphic novels that sticks with you even as a very fast read.

Read after watching Loving Highsmith. This graphic novel really captures the force of Pat’s personality. Loved the kinetic feel of the artwork.
