Mad as a Hatter by Kendra Moreno
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶🌶
I happened to find this book available on PangoBooks and found it really intriguing so I had to buy it. In the Disney-Verse, Mad Hatter is one of my favorite characters with Alice in Wonderland being one of my fave films. I’m pleased to say I really enjoyed the way this book reimagined the classic.
This book is categorized as a horror romance and while I disagree with the horror aspect, I will say it is incredibly bloody and graphic. So I guess it does include ‘body horror’.
I really enjoyed the creep factor that Moreno added to classic, lovable characters. Personally, Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum were especially creepy to me for sure. I think Mad Hatter’s sing-song voice was really fun and I love how his added job in Wonderland gives him that madness.
I definitely want to finish this series, mostly because I am looking forward to Cheshire’s book. He is definitely my favorite Son of Wonderland!
Moderate: Blood, Body horror, and Violence
