OVERALL IMPRESSION: Confused. That's pretty much how I felt while reading most of this book. The timeline of the story jumps around a lot -- so does the perspective > neither of which helped with my confusion. I felt like I didn't care what happened because I didn't know what was supposed to happen. I feel like I didn't ever get closure. I still don't know what the goal of the antagonist was, so I'm not quite sure what the main characters are supposed to be fighting against.
CHARACTERS: I didn't feel any connection to any of the characters. I didn't feel attachment towards any of them and if something were to happen to one of them, I wouldn't care. This makes the suspense/danger of the story go way down for me.
COVER: I like it a lot. The shade of the girl's eyes is really pretty.
**I received an advanced reader's copy of this book from Amazon Vine for my honest review.

There were a lot of time jumps in this, which were a little confusing, but overall, I liked this!
The first 30 pages and the last 30 pages were 4 stars; everything else in the middle was 2 stars. I decided to split it. This was not what I was expecting at all. The ending screwed me! It set up perfectly for a sequel, which I will be reading, but I just expected more. Hoping Perfect Lies will be a level up from Mind Games.
This had so much potential, but it was way to short to really unfold all that it could have been.

This made a lot more sense to me the second time around, and I LOVED it! Kiersten White is a really versatile writer. Her Paranormacy trilogy was a super cute and fun read, but Mind Games is a twisted psychological thriller. Crazy! Kept me on my toes the entire time!
This book has lots of action but it is low-key dark/sweet it doesn't really make sense till you read it but its really good.
3.5 Stars. This was definitely an interesting read! The premise was engaging, but I wish there was more in-depth character building. I'm not sure I really understood the relationship between Fia and Anne, but there are certainly underlying conspiracies that I'm thrilled to learn more about in the second book!
I think I'm going to love this series just as much as I loved the Paranormalcy series. While there isn't as much humor in this one as there was Paranormalcy, it's just pretty awesome. It's also like Paranormalcy in the paranormal sense with Seers, Readers and Feelers. All these girls stuck in this supposed school where they end up being used for bad things, theft, espionage, etc. Then you have Fia who isn't like the others, but is paranormal in her own sense - she cannot make a wrong decision. Or, well, she can, but she has an uncanny sense of what is right in any given situation. It seems like those kind of instincts would be better than any of the others - seeing the future, reading minds or knowing how those around you feel. That just makes her super awesome, and I have a hard time remembering that she's only 17 years old. The poor girl has been through so many bad experiences, some of her own making. Such a great story though, and the last 10% of the book....I have to say, I didn't see it coming. I can't wait to read the next installment.
Definitely a movie worthy book.
