Some unexpected plot twisters, but overall enjoyed this book. This is a slow burn of a sci-fi with a hint of mystery about a teenage girl alone on a spaceship traveling to Earth II to colonize it. Tragedy struck when she was 11 and her parents died, but ever since she was in contact with NASA who had a person stay in contact with Romy to cope and to help her manage with daily life on the ship.
Although, Romy has never been to Earth she is a typical teenager in the love of writing fanfic for her favorite show, working on physics to keep her brain sharp, crushing and falling in love with J, the young man on the other spaceship coming to help her journey to Earth II go faster.
However, Romy is a smart young woman and has a fear of the dark, but is brave especially when things turn weird and then, heartbreaking and sad near the end, but the end itself is a bit vague and wished in a way there was an epilogue unless of course those last two pages were basically the epilogue. Overall intrigued by this book.

Quick space read. Starts to get quite tense but the ending was disappointing and underwhelming.

This was fast-paced and gripping, but also very tense and at times creepy. From the cover I would have expected something a bit more upbeat but it's very definitely a thriller.
It's generally well written, although there are plot elements that don't really quite make sense. I do like the writing style, which is in the first person.
Overall I'm not sure I could really say I enjoyed the book, but I would recommend it to readers who like thrillers more than I do.
