Since this was a novella, it was plot focused.

Jaye and Jack are on their Honeymoon, and of course...someone ends up dead on the very SMALL island that they are vacationing on. AND, of course...Jack and Jaye lend their hands...to help our the locals.

In doing so...they've ended up in a HUGE problem.

Poignant tale, but also...one that makes the reader question how they feel about the reveal at the end. Not everyone will fall on the same side. Really enjoyed, but again...it was just TOO short for my tastes.

Wow!

Another great read. With an unexpected twist. Or was it? Don't be surprised that Jack and JJ get caught up in a murder investigation on their honeymoon. This was a quick read but very enjoyable

Dirty Deeds begins with Jack and JJ on their honeymoon. They finally have time to themselves secluded on a island with lots of beach and sand. But that changes when a murder takes place in this close knit community, and the local cop asks for their help. Jack and JJ can't say no when a dead body is in the mix, but before it is all said and done they may have regretted their decision to help out.

Dirty Deeds was really good! I really enjoyed getting to see Jack and Jaye finally together, and relaxing a little bit anyways. And the story of this one was really unique and very interesting. It also showed how different, yet similar Jack and Jaye are as well. I look forward to more in this series!

Dirty Deeds by Liliana Hart is a Novella as part of the J.J. Graves mystery series. Jack Lawson and J.J. (Jaye) Graves have finally taken their wedding vows after solving their last murder.

Now all they want is a quiet honeymoon, relaxing on an island, and making love more times than they can count. “We can put another tally mark on the wall.” JJ said. “I don’t have the energy. Your tally mark idea is going to put me into an early grave. I need some rest and some food, woman. We’re on sex hiatus for at least an hour.” “I didn’t know marriage was going to make you so whiny.”

However, in true JJ form, trouble comes knocking at their door and now there is a dead man. JJ and Jack can’t help themselves when the local officer needs their help solving the murder of a man nearly 100 years old.

Why would anyone murder a man who probably would have died in a few months? What could rock the quietness of this small community where crime rarely happened? As they find themselves smack dab in the middle of the investigation, what they uncover could haunt them for the rest of their lives.

Liliana Hart gives us a great quick read to update us on J.J. and Jack with just enough intrigue to leave us desiring more and tapping our fingers waiting for the next book.
