This book shines a spotlight on important issues.
The emotional and physical toll on children on the street are impossible to comprehend, and yet we know it’s too realistic.
But
What was used ad nauseam - the butterflies- became such an annoying element. I get that this was sort of Celia’s way to cope, but- puleeease!
And the “happy” ending does not fit the dire circumstances the book depicted.

3.5 Heartbreaking to read the storylines of the street kids. Celia’s story was the most compelling.

Such a beautiful book! I enjoyed this book a lot and how it focused on a serious and important topic of homelessness in children as well. The ending of this book is similar to the first in that it ended so perfectly and was very heartfelt. I wish that it had tied together with the first book a little more but overall a very good book!

Compassionate and beautiful, this novel doesn't flinch as it examines the worst of society's malfunctions, those impacting children. Perhaps even better than the first book. Masterful use of multiple storylines. compelling and three-dimensional characters.

I loved this book! Parts of it were hard to read and so sad but there’s a thread of hope throughout the novel. I adore Naomi and really hope the author writes more books with her character.

Excellent sequel
I can see if this book is a trigger for some people, it has done childhood sexual abuse involved. I read the first book and loved it. This book is an excellent sequel and seems to finish the story. I felt the ending was a bit of a rush but it did answer some questions. I would actually give it a 4.5 stars.
