Wow!!! Damen has stepped up and will be marrying Maya, as long as they can keep it a secret from the world until that day. The threat against Maya and her mother is still there and no one can figure out who it is.I love the dynamic between Maya and Damen. They each have preconceived notions about the other, but the more time they spend together the closer they grow and the lines of the contract begin to blur. Their honeymoon is everything Maya imagines, and more, until the danger pops up again. Their is a leak in her Uncle/Father's organization and when she mishears something Damen says she puts herself and her mother in danger. It takes the danger to Maya to get Damen to realize his true feelings for her....and lord help anyone in his way!! No spoilers...but I want the next book now!!!

Not for me.

This story was ok. I stopped and 45% because I just couldn’t get into it. I still gave it three stars because I can’t really explain why I couldn’t. Please judge for yourself.

DO NOT READ if you HATE cliffhangers It could easily have given this book 5 stars except it is a deep cliff hanger. Wait until the next book is released befor reading this one.

When her mother said she would stop the marriage, she didn’t expect that her uncle would have her marry one of his guards. Damen frighten and excites her at the same time and make her feel safe. Quickly Maya is learning that Damen isn’t the man she thought he was and finding herself becoming more and more attracted to him.
Seeing Maya in her wedding dress, he can’t pretend it’s fun or that she doesn’t affect him, and he knows he’s in trouble. The more time they spend together the harder it is for Damen to protect Maya from him, but he can’t risk falling for her. Maya continues to push him ending with his finally yelling at her that she is his, but Maya wants him to prove it.
A misunderstanding makes things get interesting, Maya deciding to leave. When Damen realises that Maya is missing he realises what he feels for her and will create a war to get her back.

Oooohhh, baby! Such a great romantic suspense, mafia genre novel. Deep and interesting characters. What does it say about you when you love a "hurting" but still strong alpha male? Damen, I'm rooting for you! Alesso, stick with it! Keep after Damen! Can walls be broken? Can love be a solution? Is it even possible for our hero and heroine? Emotional novel I just could not put down! Can't wait for more!
