If you don’t know anything about hockey, don’t write about hockey. I think that’s why I hate hockey romances, or at least I haven’t read one I’ve really liked yet. Besides that, this book just lacked a good story for me. I’ve never been a huge fan of fake dating/marriage. It’s not that I don’t like it, I just prefer other tropes.
Some of the spice was cringy. I think, for me, it was the overly obsessed and possessiveness of it. Her writing style seems to be more focused on being as spicy as possible, but I need a good plot to go with the spice. About half way through, I was almost skimming it. I only finished it because it was a short story and not a full-length book.
