Another excellent entry from Lord Grimdark himself.

Reading the three stand alone novels between A Little Hatred and this book greatly enhanced my enjoyment and understanding of the characters and the world itself.

Very glad that the next entry is only a year away.

Abercrombie continues to build towards what I suspect will be an incredible pay off. The story moved along well in Trouble with Peace and his amazing characters were fleshed out more.

Excited to read the finale...

Maybe the peak of the series. Exhilarating from cover-to-cover. Characters change drastically, but believably and the state of the world hangs in the balance.
  •  “Tomorrow came, and it was much like yesterday. Just more so.”
  •  “We’re all like children, Rikke. The older you get, the more you realise the grown-ups won’t suddenly walk in and set things right. You want things right, you have to put ’em right yourself.”
  •  “I find reputations rarely fit people all that well. What are they, after all, but costumes we put on to disguise ourselves?”
