This was the first book I've read by Julie Coulter Bellon and I thought it had a great mix of action, suspense and romance! Parts of the story seemed like they could have easily come from today's headlines. I had a little bit of a hard time with how quickly the romance developed, especially considering the dangerous circumstances they were constantly faced with, but it's pretty easy for me to overlook that kind of thing.
I loved Jake's character and his protectiveness. It took me longer to warm up to Mya - she was not the easiest character to like in the beginning but was so loyal to her family. There were also several other characters with hints of interesting backgrounds and hopefully future stories to come!
