an underwhelming and bland memoir that read more like a travel diary than anything else.
sometimes writing can be very cathartic and necessary for the author to process things but that does not mean that it needs to get published.
also I just couldn’t stand the pretentiousness of the author. no one cares that you don’t like mainstream things and you don’t have to remind us again and again that you’d never be caught dead inside an Abercrombie & Fitch. we get it. you’re not like other girls
