The newest volume and this time we are meeting Kotaro’s family!

So at the end of June I finally had the chance to buy the boxset containing the last volumes of this series! And I started reading them ASAP. With my vacation in August and July being pretty much full, it wasn’t until today that I had a slot for a review! Also look forward to the other volumes reviews coming throughout the month. I scheduled one for each 6 days so you all got something to look forward to.

In this 7th volume we see how our characters are doing living together, and see them also discuss things from the previous volume(s). You know, the drama they had and that Asako was very angry about? I am happy to see that Kotaro understood that he wasn’t doing the right thing. And that they chatted some more about it. Making sure that the air is now all clear around them. And then the fun really starts. Our couple has Golden Week and that means that it is time for some relaxation! I laughed that Kotaro wanted the first day to be just chill. Nothing. After all these two have been making the most of every day they had free together and I love that they can now also choose for just doing nothing. Just lying on the couch, having a good hug.

We also see some work-related things and I am happy that those were also added. I am curious what role that woman will be playing in the later volumes, I have the feeling that she will be around a bit more. She seemed quite interested in Asako.

I cannot wait to see what Asako thinks of Kotaro’s present, I still think it is the cutest thing ever that he made her a special soap. So fitting for him and so fitting for her!

But the biggest part of the manga was that we finally see Kotaro’s family! And that they are staying there for a bit. I was already very curious about his family. I loved how accepting and warm they were and how they embraced her with open arms. We see family photographs, learn more about the mom and how she is doing/how it feels for her to never see her kids or husband, and the sister was just one bundle of joy, I had a laugh how enthusiastic she was! Plus, Kotaro has some things to show to Asako that just made me smile.

All in all, a wonderful volume with so much good things happening. Again, I just love this one as it is so mature and deals with serious topics along with some cute topics and also doesn’t shy away from sex (but not in a sexy we need to add sex, but in a these are two adults in a relationship and they love each other way, hope that doesn’t sound weird, haha).

The series is the epitome of wholesomeness, preciousness, and relationship goals. I know I tend to repeat myself in these reviews, but what more can I say? Asako and Kotaro continue to be #relationshipgoals, their friends and family continue to be supportive and adorable, and I love all of these characters so damn much my heart could burst. This is easily the best Josei romance I've ever read and any that come after will have to step up their game in order to match or even surpass it. Love, love, LOVE this series so damn much, enough said.
