I loved this book. I cried, I laughed, and several times I was angry. The characters were so strong and vulnerable at the same time without being weak. The relationship between Clay and Fawn melted my heart! This book is dark and heartwrenching. It is not for the weak (or strong in some parts). However, the ending made me excited to read the next book and that’s what made it a 5 star read for me. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and this is technically book 4 in the series but I didn’t feel like I was missing anything.

I’m having trouble putting to words what I loved so much about this book. I guess at the end of the day, I’m just a sucker for a super emotional, dark rollercoaster of a story. Top that off with an age gap that is giving major daddy dom vibes and I ate it up.
Be warned though, there’s some major on page triggering events throughout this book.

Before you read, please check the trigger warnings. The author lists them lightly. I can see why, because if she specifically listed them it would spoil the story. So here are two triggers I think should be addressed. Rape (gang rape), and miscarriage. Please be cautious before going into the story.
*mini rant* If you go into a dark romance story, clearly listed by the author as (and I quote) “my darkest story yet” then proceed to complain about how dark and disturbing it is, that’s on you. You are at fault, not the author. If you have triggers, dark romance is obviously not for you
