Berserk feels like its been building up to this moment- not to say that the previous volumes have felt lacking in substance, I've really enjoyed the storyline around the Band of the Hawk, but given where this series began, everything up until now seems like its been a flashback revealing how things got to their current state, with the Eclipse as the culmination of these four volumes journey. The imagery and distinctive visuals only get more striking as the books go on, and I can finally say that I'm interested in these characters for themselves, not just following along for the story.
I devoured all of Berserk in just a few weeks and I couldn't imagine something could hit me this hard. Every battle, every character moment just fills me with joy and hurts so good. Can't wait to reread it soon.

This was truly such an engrossing story and clearly where Berserk really starts to pick up as we see Griffith being offered the chance to become a demon lord at the sacrifice of the Band of the Hawk (which we know from the beginning of the series, he takes this deal)
Really interesting to see his downfall and this is truly becoming one of my favourite series of all time

Probably my most favorite one so far. Well balance between story, background characters development and action. I also enjoy the way the universe is expending, darker, with weird monsters and Gods (those remind me a bit of the Hellraiser universe by Clive Barker in some ways). Great manga series, I'm glad I got those deluxe edition, they are totally worth it!
