4.5⭐️ so good!!!! this world was so easy to dive in to and the world building was so well done.
lara is such a strong female character and i loved seeing her grow and transform as the book went on. aren is so selfless and loyal, he is what a true king should be! the angst and slow burn this gave was great. their love was beautiful!
but the ending… woah. will be immediately starting book 2!

I'm stuck between giving it 4 stars or 5 stars... Let it be 5 for now.
The whole scenario with the letter killed me. I was literally whisper shouting NO NO NO PLEASE NO!!!!
Lara is such a badass character. And Aren is just perfect. This is my first book from Danielle L. Jensen but she sure knows how to write a story. The cliffhanger was the best way to make me start the second book asap.
Update: I changed the rating to 4 stars. It's more like a 4.5 I guess.
