I’m feeling conflicted about this book. I really enjoyed the beginning and the end but the middle was tough for me to get through. Maybe I just don’t love the miscommunication trope but I really just wished the characters would have just talked to each other.

“I’m confident that I’ll never spend a single second of my life regretting you.”
OMG, this book was amazing!! I loved the two different perspectives on the book the mother vs daughter. It really portrayed how people see things differently and based on how much they know they come to different conclusions.
I also loved the unfolding of the two different love stories unfolding with all the twists and turns on the way was just magical. I loved every second of the book.

Standalone | Women's Fiction
Regretting You by Colleen Hoover is much different than the authors previous books. I honestly thought this one would be another romance, but it isn’t. It’s a women’s fiction novel about a mother and daughter who must come together after tragedy strikes their lives. Told in Hoover’s prose, this is a poignant, unforgettable read that will teach you valuable lessons about forgiveness and healing. It’s also bound to bring tears to your eyes.
One thing that stand out most to me when it comes to Colleen’s novels is that she has this special touch where she puts seemingly inconsequential pieces into a story that are actually very powerful. You may not realize it at first but when you think back you can see it. For example, Miller asking Clara to prom and the little things he does throughout the story that really leads up to it (I CRIED). These pieces are just so powerful and can be found throughout all her novels which is why I am always reading her releases.
All in all, I love how Colleen can write in a myriad of genres and slay every book. It’s nice to have an author that you can go to for all your reading needs and this is exactly what you get with Colleen Hoover. This one in particular is told in dual point of views between Clara (the daughter) and Morgan (her mother) as they navigate a new way of life when someone they love passes away tragically. Secrets unfold, drama ensues, and the two must really learn to live in their new reality with a lot more on their plate than just the tragedy. It’s a sad book but one that also heals. It’s not a book that will make you cry the whole way though, but one that will make you feel for the characters. I loved this book, I love Colleen’s unique writing style, and I recommend it to all women!

[REVIEW] Regretting you by Colleen Hoover
Recommend Yes/No: Yes
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ [4/5]
Awwww this book is just what I needed! This is why I love you Colleen Hoover, because of books like these.
Heartbreak, loss, love, grief, sacrifice, companionship...so many emotions rolled into one book.
Even though the majority of the book only spanned over a short amount of time, it never felt like that as there was so much to unlock and you felt so invested in the characters and their journeys.
I whizzed through this so quickly and couldn’t wait to get back to it every time I put it down.
I loved Morgan’s character and felt such a connection with her. All the characters were great and the story was beautiful.
You’ve done it again Ms Hoover!

Haven’t read a CoHo in a while and I enjoyed this!! Loved the mother/daughter relationships and getting both sides to their story; lots of complicated feelings and family drama and events and it really just sucks you in. Jonah is great but I wish we got more of him! Miller is so sweet. I am pissed I didn’t get to read the letters between Jenny and Chris bc I spent like 200 pages looking forward to that lmao, and also I was 100% right predicting the “I hate orange” and “I wanna go to UT” crossover line to drop at the end of the book!!
