The wild path of twists and turns this book takes you through are incredible. A seemingly simple story that morphs and changes before your eyes into a complicated look at how we mentally deal with trauma and how we are forced to confront such trauma if we want to grow and escape our demons.

When I started this book, I thought it was going to be a horror book. It’s thrilling, but not scary. This story had me questioning everything. Ward wrote beautifully & kept me on my toes, while bringing light to a topic that is often misunderstood. I loved it!

The novel lulls you into an assured state and then rips the blindfold off in such a way that makes you angry at all the half-truth conclusions you filled in while reading.
