“Let’s agree to have a complicated conversation.” 🖤 ”Don’t ask anybody for anything you can’t pay for.” “What you believe about the future will change how you live in the present.”

Hard to get into, but definitely worth the read once you get used to the way it’s written.

I love the concept of this book and appreciate all the meanings behind it; however, the writing style wasn’t my favorite. Overall the book never really hooked me. Still a good book though and would recommend to others

Everyone should read this. Or at least add it to their list. Engaging, insightful, funny, poignant, brilliant. I loved it.

I see I am in the minority with this book. So many loved this one. Me, I was left feeling me. I feel bad saying that since this is a true story. It makes me feel like I'm saying the author's life was me, but I'm not.

The writing just didn't do anything for me. It was slow and choppy. I found myself having strong urges to skim. It took all my willpower to stay on course and fully read this book.

I can appreciate the over all message this book is telling. I can appreciate the life the author built for himself despite a hard childhood. The overall story is hopeful. I just wish the writing would've been more captivating.
