I finished this in one sitting and was blown away by its simplicity and how much I loved everything in here.

Pretty sentiments that are empowering. I enjoyed reading it.
i kind of loved it, kind of hated it.
it's a dilemma to choose.
some are beautifully written, but the others just make it seem that women always choose the wrong people because they are not thinking it through. i mean, it's an implied 'you're kind of stupid sometimes...' so that is not much appreciable or else
it's great.

i really enjoyed this
easy poetry to understand but lacking meaning. very repetitive. the content of the poem seemed extremely offensive to me- telling a woman how she can be lovable. didnt like this
I personally feel like I was reading those quotes from the 2000’s that everyone used to look up in middle school. Every poem was reiterated but with different phrases. This book wasn’t necessarily horrible it just didn’t feel like there was much depth to it. Basically, women are beautiful & love them right.
You both were once strangers
looking for love,
and now
you are both strangers
afraid of love.

Some pieces stood out, the rest were just eh.
I really did want to like this one. My first time reading a poetry book, one that alot of people said was good but it all felt unrealistic and a bit shallow. I mean sure it's nice to call women warriors and art but talk about our issues, our flaws, we're not some perception of strength and bravery, we're human. We don't want to be painted as something that isn't true.
And maybe this is my own fault but I thought it was about women in general but it was about relationships (all hetero by the way, there was an unnecessary use of him) and how they were sculpted from gold or whatever and hence he should treat them like it. I guess, it's nice? But still, didn't reach out to me. I picked it up hoping for something I could feel but they ended up just words on paper.
