I was pretty darn disappointed in this book. I really expected it to be much better. I kept reading, waiting for that to happen, but it never did.

I'm from Idaho, currently renting an island home in the Bahamas for two weeks to finish writing my third book. While perusing the bookshelves, I was thrilled to find QUICKSAND by Iris Johansen. Interestingly, part of the storyline takes place in a snowbound hideaway in Idaho.

HOLY MOLY! I don't scare easy, but this is one heckofa nail-biting, page-turning, edge-of-the-seat ride! And on those occasions when I feel like having the bejeebers scared out of me, you can be sure that this new-to-me author is one whose books I will make a point of reading.

The story has the same format as most of Johansen's other books, but as always Eve, Jane, and Joe are like old friends. In this book, I developed a liking for Montalavo and enjoyed Miguel's wit. Loved the twist at the end - a great way to keep the stories coming.

That plot twist at the end really got me though. Like wow, just wow.
