I really enjoyed this fun (and sometimes funny) mystery. Even though I was new to the series, I was able to pick right up and enjoy this one.

Delanie is a private investigator and is hired to figure out who is behind some strange happenings at a local "adult" establishment. I really liked her as a character. She seemed very realistic and relatable, and it was fun to follow along as she looked into this mystery. Her interactions with her partner (in the PI firm) Duncan were enjoyable, and added to the overall story. I also liked Margaret, the dog. You can never go wrong with a dog in a mystery!

The plot was also well written. There were plenty of clues that pointed to the culprit, but I didn't figure it out until near the end. A fun and enjoyable mystery!

5 stars!

This book had a lot of problems for me. Delanie is supposed to be a professional investigator who is hired to find the source of pranks happening at Chaz's new club The Cheeky Monkey, a Male Revue. All Delanie seemed to do was go visit the club with her purse cam and talk to the staff while the pranks continue and escalate. Meanwhile as a reader I figured out the who did when they made their first slip up and Delanie never seems to catch on as they continue. At the end when she finally figures it out thanks to Duncan she confronts the person with no back up and blindly follows them into danger. While I might be more forgiving if this was an amateur sleuth Delanie is supposed to be a professional who should know better. The book really dragged for me and not much happened until the end. Since I figured out the who what and why very early I lost interest. This story might have worked better as a short story. I hope Delanie smartens up for her next case. I did really like Margaret, the dog. She was smarter than all the humans around her.
