A tongue-in-cheek take on the paranormal genre (and not a romantic liaison to be seen but, to be perfectly honest, I'd probably enjoy Vernon's take on a romantic supernatural liaison. It would go one of two ways and either be effin' hilarious or deeply disturbing).

This collection of short stories introduces characters who make up the Creep Squad, the nickname for the Spiritual Operations Branch -the SOBs- of a "semi-official paramystical working division of the Canadian Royal Mounted Police" (description taken straight from the first story in the book).

Reading this collection isn't necessary to understand/follow the sequel in The Creep Squad series, but Bigfoot Tracks does provide a closer in-depth look at the individual characters and their magical world.

There's a couple editorial typos but nothing that distracted from the overall story and I'm currently working my way through the sequel, Big Hairy Deal (which I pre-ordered).
