Transported into a world in the midst of destruction and chaos, BB Easton has taken us into a post-apocalyptic atmosphere where 1/4 of the world's population has been wiped out by panic. Lawlessness is the new order and survival by just staying alive is the new norm.
Rain and Wes are basically trapped in purgatory - or a mall outside of town. Rain is suffering severe anxiety attacks, but what can she expect, she's lost everything and everyone and she didn't expect to live beyond April 23rd. Living is harder than she expected.
Wes wants nothing to do with staying, he's never stayed in one spot for long, but he wants to leave with the one person who's come to mean something to him, Rain. Will he do it alone or will he stay?
Every sense, every emotion is heightened in this second installment of the trilogy.
The world may not have ended, but that doesn't mean your life isn't on the line. Can their love survive in this new world?
Easton's writing is riveting and will keep you turning page after page after page.

Fighting for Rain had me on the edge of my seat from page 1...well not so much seat...more like bed really...ok not so much on the edge of the bed...I was laying down... so I guess more metaphorically on the edge of my seat rather than literally on the edge of my seat. Regardless, book 2 of this series had me hooked.

Before diving in to Fighting for Rain, book 2, I needed a recap of Praying for Rain, book 1 because #mombrain so I went back to Goodreads and read some spoilery reviews and picked Lsay’s brain because she did a quick reread (thanks girl

A little bit of a filler novel, but great if you're reading all three in quick succession. I did have some problems with some racial stereotypes, but I think these were most likely incidental.

Holy wow!! What an incredible read! Fast paced, gripping, twisty and will hit you in the feels a bit. I'm completely obsessed with this apocalyptic world BB Easton has created. I don't want it to ever end. If I thought I couldn't love Wes and Rain more after Praying for Rain, I was wrong. They're incredible!

The second book in the Rain trilogy lived up to the greatness of the first book. Fighting for Rain picks up right where Praying left off. After the Apocalypse doesn't occur, Rain and Wes must learn to survive in their new normal. Secrets are exposed and new characters threaten the bond between Rain and Wes.

I absolutely devoured this book in one sitting. I don't read a lot of books like this but I love BB's power to ease me out of my comfort zone and transport me into a world where your motto is "what you need to survive that day." It's exhilarating.

Fighting for Rain ends with a shocking cliffhanger that had me crying for book 3. I can't wait to have Dying for Rain in my hands!!

Being in Rain's head is very back and forth. I never knew what version I was going to get at one time. She's very hard to pin point moodwise and this definitely confused how I was supposed to be feeling towards scenarios that were happening in the book. That's where Wes comes in though because they match in every aspect and Wes gets Rain's chaotic moments. Wes also knew that it was best he leave to create a better life for Rain but nothing goes as planned.

B.B. Easton has written a world where its pure chaos and people are trying to find a normal again after the 23rd April never happened. When You all thought you were going to day on the one day that never comes, you have to make new plans, but how? The government is corrupt and new laws are in place that completely diminishes human morales and ethics but its not wrong if its legal, right?

People's loyalties are tested and people's motivations start to change but in this new world Rain knows one thing and that is she needs to get Wes back.

Emotional second installment

Emotions are running high as the apocalypse throws more curve balls at Rain and Wes. Enemies are closer than they think and time will not be on their side as their world implodes around them and the danger they face is worse than they ever could have imagined. I am desperate, anxiously awaiting the conclusion to their apocalyptic love story and hoping they might still find a happily ever after in a world h..l bent on tearing them apart.
