⁕ The historical and socio-political portions of the world-building were all very intriguing. The finer mechanics of Allomancy (especially the travelling via pushing off of coins with magic), however, were overexplained. The many action scenes became boring and also made me feel like I was reading video game tutorials instead a fantasy novel.
⁕ I've heard a lot of people complain that Sanderson doesn't write his women characters well. Apart from the occasional "I'm not like other girls" moment that Vin has, there's not anything in here that turned me off from her portrayal. Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention, but she just comes across as another (understandably) Katniss Everdeen, jaded-type of heroine with a tough past.
⁕ I think chapters from this book could have been cut without it affecting the story. It dragggged at points.
⁕ The found family in this book is reminiscent of that in The Gilded Wolves and Six of Crows (minus some of the romantic connections). I think fans of those stories would really enjoy this one.

What most people enjoy with the "Sanderslanche", I just don't personally enjoy as much. I may still read on in this series. I am also going to try The Strom light archives as well.

UMM... I don't have wordssssss for the ending of this book. THe entire 5th part was a masterpiece. I'm mad at how good it was. I'm still screaming honestly.
There was a chunk of the middle that was kinda a slog, but that might have been my mindspace? I wasn't really in a good place while I was reading that. That part is why I'm not sure about my 5 star rating, but I feel like a reread would definitely confirm the book as 5 stars.
Possibly my favorite part of the book were the little interludes from the logbook before every chapter. I'm going to be thinking about those for a LONG time.
SAZE my love <3 you are my favorite character I love you so much. I just felt the need to put that in. I love that man. (Most of the characters were great. Obviously I love Vin and Elend too. And Dox and Ham and Marsh. I think you get it.)
The more I write the more I feel good about a 5 star rating. Jesus this book was amazing.
