I really enjoyed the first book in this series, so I was expecting to enjoy this one as well, however I was quite disappointed by it.

Book-obsessed Tara loves all things romance, however, it’s safe to say, romance hasn’t always loved her. After having her heart broken ten different times, by ten different men, Tara decides enough is enough, she is going to orcastrate her very own second chance romance. While Tara revisits each of her past relationships, she finds herself spending more and more time with Trevor, her new firefighter roommate.

I have to be honest, I did not like Tara. I really wanted to love her, as a fellow bookworm, however I just found her annoying, childish and unrealistic. Her entire storyline and personality revolved around chasing her exes to find the one, and she didn’t really seem to care who, as long as she was in a romantic relationship with someone, anyone. I feel like most 30 year olds are mature enough to see the problems in this. Firstly, exes tend to be exes for a reason. Secondly, it all just seemed cringey, from her obliviousness to the weirdness of everything, to her documenting it all on social media…

All in all, I really struggled to overlook my problems with Tara which meant I unfortunately didn’t enjoy this book.

I loved Tara and Trevor’s story in this book.
Like any romance this is chock a block with tropes, including forced proximity, friends to lovers, second chance romance and more.

I loved how just like the first book of this series we got to see the close characters we follow in the other book. With Tara’s sister returning and Trevor’s co worker Seth still present it’s nice to get a continued insight into their relationship that formed in the first book.
I liked getting the closure that they were planning on eloping abroad together.

Although these romances are fast paced, and the relationships similarly so in their steps up from stage to stage I did still ultimately enjoy the read as it kept me engaged at a good pace.  Overall as I’ve said in many other reviews, part of the reason I don’t rate as highly is because I don’t relate to the romance as a queer person but this doesn’t mean it isn’t a great entryway book to adult romance that I would recommend to others.

This was super cute! I really liked the main character just because I related to her a lot( I’m not a hopeless romantic, but everything else lol). I thought the slow burn to strangers to friends to lovers was well done and just so cute. This was just a nice fun and cute time with a few spicy scenes.i liked Trevor and how he was slowly opening up to Tara. I honestly didn’t mind the third act conflict to much because I felt like it made sense for the characters and they didn’t establish themselves as a couple yet.

Such a gripping book. That when you put it down it's all the think about all night and all day. So you can't wait to read it.

Another fun rom-com from Amy Lea, but could’ve earned a higher rating. Exes and Oh’s follows Tara, a bookish influencer and nurse who is infatuated with romance. After moving in with her soon to be brother in law’s best friend Trevor, Tara begins to document her quest to manufacture her own second chance romance by reconnecting with her exes. This story was a fun ride, but I also felt this truly needed to have Trevor’s pov. Trevor is an incredibly closed off character that quickly puts himself into the friend zone with Tara and essentially makes himself her wingman. I absolutely loved their budding friendship, but with the train wreck that was Tara’s exes we didn’t really get any romance until the end. Sometimes I forgot Trevor was the love interest in any capacity. This was a great story but also one of the few I felt needed an extra voice.
