"Because the possibility of you is better than the reality of anyone else.”

There is something addictive in this shit because I am obsessed. By far my favourite in the series. I was giggling and squealing and just truly having THE BEST time (until the 80 - 91% mark, but we shall overlook that). On to the next.

This book just shows how much Ana Huang has grown through her writing. Twisted Love was decent, if a little illogical (due to lack of explanation or character growth, not the fact that it's a fiction) at times. Twisted Hate really struggled with show not tell, but was cute. This book does amazingly at setting up two characters, and making them both more likable than they are in the beginning and logically setting them together.

In my personal opinion, Josh and Jules were my least favorite characters in the beginning- for no reason other than Jules was wreckless and Josh cared way too much about it. In the other books, Jules was really cut down- all dialogue involving her was just about how the main love interest is "so hot". Which, sure, but it gets boring.

But this book gets rid of that. I wish there was a little more slow burn, sure- Yeah, Josh, I'm sure you're going to feel immediately jealous after years of hating her- but overall? Really, really good.

If you're a fan of dialogue, this book is for you. In the other books, there were snippets of Ana Huang's ability to write realistically funny dialogue- that talent shines here.

Though, a content warning at the beginning of the book would have been nice. Look those up beforehand- they threw me off pretty hard, even with the content of the first book.

Three stars for the perfect mixture between the romance and the story woven around Jules and Josh. Just the right amount of heartbreak and happiness together with a minimum of adventure. Even though Jules character wasn‘t exactly my favourite, her and Josh kept me rooting till the end. Their ongoing bickering fills the book with a lot of funny interactions.

It is a perfect enemies-to-lovers book. Though I have to subduct a star for the (traumatic) s*x scenes. For me they were a bit too much. But that won‘t keep me from trying another of Ana Huang‘s books. The plot and storytelling is just too good. :D

well, i liked it more than i thought i would, but it still wasn't my favorite. i read the first two books back in 2021 and then never picked this up because i didn't think i would like jules and josh together. i will say that i came around to them by the very end (and i loved their cameos in twisted lies), but it was until the very end.
i honestly just was so disgusted with the whole "i lied" bit, iykyk, and don't know how josh is anyone's favorite twisted MMC - like i genuinely HATED him for that. i don't know if i would go as far to say it was sexual assault, but it was damn close if it wasn't
overall, i had a good time, but damn this book was way too long in length.

⚠️: violence, death of parent, sexual harassment, sexual assault, stalking
