How I rated this book:

-0.5 star: I enjoyed reading this, but almost halfway through, I got bored. While Ana's writing is very easy to read and understand, I think Twisted Hate didn't need to be this long. They are enemies who entered into an enemies with benefits relationship and eventually developed feelings for each other. It didn't need to be 500 plus pages of banter, push-and-pull, and conflict. It was unnecessarily long. Cut down 100 to 150 pages and it will still be fine.

-0.25 star: Josh and Jules' relationship was toxic. What they both did will never be okay. Granted they were still learning the ropes of their romantic relationship - that doesn't mean they should have done what they did to each other.

-0.25 star: While Max played a huge role why Jules did what she did before, Jules didn't suffer the consequences of her own actions. That really irked me. Yes, she was a victim, but she also chose to do the things she did.

-0.5 star: I didn't connect with the characters. All throughout the book, I didn't care if they get together or not. It failed to let me feel what they're feeling, and I think it's an important part when reading any book.

-0.5 star The Twisted series is known for its spice (aside from it being a romance series). The spicyness in this book was too much (maybe because the book in itself was too long!!). Even if they were starting to fall with each other, their spicy scenes still felt detached.

I have yet to read Twisted Lies, but so far, Twisted Games is still my favorite out of the 3 books in the series.

At first, I gave the book 4 stars because I enjoyed 75% of the book. I don’t normally read enemies to lovers but the writing style had meeeee. However, three act break was very hurtful and I think it should not have been forgiven as fast as it did.
After Jules confesses everything to Josh. He told he forgives her and starts having sex with her. During their intimate time, he finally says that he actually lied. He also tells her this is a goodbye fuck and her best quality was her vagina. Now this was Jules’ biggest insecurity and she just took back her power from a man who was telling her the same thing. For a man she loves to say had to be the worst thing ever. I feel like after the third act, there should have been more done to right that wrong. I think more could have been done say readers that it is not okay for your partner to use your insecurities against you just because they are in pain. Well, time did past on that incident, I just wished for more
. It was a solid book despite that major issue. I think it would have been 4.5 or 5 without the third act break up.

I was so excited to read this book and it did not disappoint me at all. I was not prepared for
max’s tape of Jules
it definitely made me so terrified  and when
Josh said “I lied”
I was so sad  but I understood why he said it because
Of Jules betrayal
I loved how Josh dealt with his father’s situation and I loved it more when he
forgave Alex

OH THEYRE MY BESTIES FR FR.

surprisingly good like i cannot express how much better this is than the first 2 books. josh and jules actually seemed to have chemistry and be into each other like it just all made sense???? writing was still a bit cringe at times but the plot was engaging with the 2 mc’s actually being complex and having a bit of substance. like honestly actually really quite good
