I listened to the audiobook of this one, and have done so for most of them. I really enjoy them. They are light easy reads, and I love most of the characters.
As usual I don’t really care so much about the mystery as I do about the character development. I don’t think you’d like this book unless you read all the other ones.

This is the best Agatha Raisin's instalment I read in some time. Agatha is at her best, quirky and funny.
It was great to meet again the cast of characters Charles, Tony, Bill Wong and all the others.
I had a lot of fun in reading this novel, it's engrossing and entertaining.
I appreciated the humour, the well crafted cast of characters and their development, and a lovely donkey.
The mystery is solid, full of twists and turns, and it kept me guessing till the end.
It was a very pleasant and fun read, I strongly recommend it.

Agatha Raisin stories are always a laugh out loud good read! What's not to love about small English villages, sometimes bumbling amateur detectives, and, in this case, a cute, smelly donkey?

Une enquête un peu différente d'Agatha Raisin car elle se déroule à Chypre et non, comme à l'accoutumée entre les Costwolds et Londres. J'ai bien aimé le dépaysement mais je dois avouer que les multiples histoires de coucheries d'Agatha et de ses compagnons m'ont rapidement lassée. Et j'ai de plus en plus pris le personnage de James en grippe, ce qui n'arrange rien.

Likely the best book of a series which had become very stale. Stylistically, the language flows better. The plot is more interesting and timely.
This installment actually was one of the best in the series, very enjoyable. I'll keep reading them as long as you keep writing them, Ms. Beaton.
