I think this is the first Nora Roberts that I haven't been overly enamoured with. It wasn't a bad book, I can't emphasise that enough, but all of her other books have always had something memorable, but I feel like I wasn't getting much out of this one.

I think because of the heavy emphasis around wedding planning, which I enjoyed, I would probably slide this closer towards womens fiction with a romance subplot.

The female friendships in this was a solid 10/10. We love women being ride or dies for each other 💪

Carter was a cutie with the patience of a saint. I loved that he recognised that Mac had issues to work around, even noticing that it was the external influence of her mother being the issue. He didn't push her, and let her work through her own while being there waiting to support her.

I think you should read this if you're looking for a fairly low angst romance, family drama, and solid female friendships.
