After having this book on my shelf for a year I've finally finished The Wheel of Time. The Memory of Light was mostly battle after battle and it stretched on and on. There was a lot of good reading in there, but I did get tired of reading about certain people chasing after certain other people. How many books has Perrin been chasing after slayer? And also there is someone else who fights off several people before he finally gets his due. At one point in the book Mat says "I'm getting tired of this guy". My sentiments exactly!

There are some really sad deaths in this also, which was to be expected in the last battle. I was extremely happy that certain people lived though. I saw through the little twist at the end and I thought it was ok, but I think I really would have liked to have gotten a peak into the near future before the book ended. I really liked some of the funny lines Mat had. Also I really liked the relationship that developed between Pevara and Androl with the double bonding thing and the result of it. Oh, and gateways are awesome, especially Androl's gateways.
