The love triangle is so emotional.
"What exactly does everyone want from me? I love her, I want her, I need her, and I don't want to lose her, what do I have to do?"
"Love must be bottomless, you fall in and you fall out. Either way, there's no catching your feet."
"You want what you can't have."
"I Love you." "I love you too... I guess."

3.75 stars. Really good!
I liked the way the male character developed and understood what he did bad and how he could fix it. In my opinion it was well written and I really enjoyed reading it, although it would be toxic in real life. But that's just it, in REAL LIFE it would be toxic but this isn't real life.

You know how kids keep sucking their toes, he was just like that. With his foot in his mouth.
Honestly the way he treated her, she should've slept w moses.
And i hated how Todd and Mandy leaked stuff to him but after that business event thing they shut up. Too late but atleast it was something.
That entire thing with his boss.. he deserved more than a slap but tbh i know some fmcs who wouldn't stand up for themselves like that.
And the fact that her parents didn't have her back. That's was saddening.
The letter was good. The scenes at the club were not. Nope.
The flashback only went to show he had always been a dick to her.. the epilogue showed he hadn't changed much just saw her more and fucked her regularly.

This book was amazing, and I learned to live with Jenzy’s (aka Jennifer’s) quirky-ness. Although at times she was too quirky for my liking lol!!
I loved this book so much that I finished it in a day. Jenzy was such a mature and loving person. I absolutely loved her. Christian's character development was so good, he was such a selfish bastard at the beginning but at end he was just amazing *chef's kiss*.
Definitely going to read more of this trope.

This is not a romance. It’s a story of a marriage ending and a selfish ass who won't accept it. The book should have ended at 90% when .
I picked this up because it was recommended as a book with an amazing grovel. I literally read no grovel. Chris ignored his wife and put her down for two years. He deserved to be left. But instead of trying to win her back, he spent the whole book sabotaging her growing relationship with another man and extorting her through the divorce negotiations, by refusing to sign unless she didn what he wanted. He even continued to put her down. He didn’t seem to like her at all. And the flashbacks only made him seem worse. He was as selfish in college and he was in adult life. Even at the end

he didn’t grovel to win her back. He just accepted that had lost her. And she came running back. GAHCEWJOEPJFWE!!!
Chris is just awful. There's no way to root for them because I just wanted her to be free of him the whole book.
