I feel like marriage in trouble only works when they still like each other but circumstances are not allowing the relationship to progress. In the case of this book the mmc does not like the fmc and frankly she should’ve left him way before. For example she told him she wants a divorce and left so what does he do? Goes to the gym.
Im not sure how it turns out with Moses but he was 100x better than mmcs.

Soooo good. If you can handle some awkward capitalization and minor paragraph formatting faults the story is absolutely perfect. So much grovelling and love. Gave me butterflies almost the whole way through
emotional
hopeful
sad
medium-paced
The Divorce by Nicole Strycharz is my first book by this author. The cover and title were like a siren call and I just had to read it, and let me tell you, it was worth every penny!
Jenzy (Jennifer) is fun, quirky, a total flake and undeniably in love with her husband Chris but suddenly after five years, somethings changed, he no longer notices her and is constantly annoyed by her.
Chris (Christopher) is a hard working husband who's career is on the fast track to awesome. He's always busy with work and/or the gym. He's in great shape and he knows it. He's suddenly thrown for a loop when his wife of 7 years suddenly [out of nowhere] asks him for a divorce [A DIVORCE, WHAT?] and so, this is where things get tricky.
This book was WOW! I seriously wanted to push the stop button on life to just read. It is heartfelt, emotional and real. You are instantly sucked into picking sides and then turn a page only to change allegiance. It's witty and ohh soo easy to read.
I recommend this book to anyone even if you've never been married. If you are, it'll make you realize what you have. If you don't, it could show you what could be. Be warned, you will cry, at least I did, anyway, read this story, you won't regret it.

I really really liked this book. It made me sad, happy, frustrated and it made me laugh, a lot. I loved the relationship Chris had with his nephew, very cute! Only thing I wanted, was it not to end. I wanted more of Chris and Jenzy =)
WHAT THE FUCK!!!! WHAT THE FUCK!!! WHY IS THE BOOK SO FUCKING GOOD!! granted i would smack chris with a guitar for many of his actions.... the ROMANCE. the GROVELING!!! fuck i love me some divorce.
I hate finishing a great book because I feel bereft of the characters.
This book hooked me from the jump. And if you know me, you know that I often DNF books (shoutout to my book besties ;) ), so for me to be immersed into a story from the get go is really saying something.
I hated Chris in the beginning and I was thinking, this is the MMC, really?! How am I ever going to fall in love with him?! But then I did and if you love a good grovel then this is the story for you.
And Jenzy. Jenzy, although described as flighty, was not annoying or too Mary Sueish. She was someone that I could identify with.
I loved their story because it felt real and it was something, since I myself am married, I could see happening.
Anyway, I’ve probably blabbered on enough—just go read it.

Chris was too horrible. Over 2 years he basically destroyed his wife's confidence and self-esteem and when she files for divorce he suddenly starts inserting himself in her life and still belittles her? Prick!
Instead of stalking her he should have been sending her flowers and showering her in compliments but he still continues to think of so many of her aspects as annoying and basically the only thing he appreciates is her being hot.
He should have begged for counselling, couples therapy, instead when she is shopping for dresses he basically calls her fat, and later on insults her cooking.
Also, he was a bit of a jerk towards other characters...

The characters have the maturity of 12 year olds. The writing style was just so thoroughly immature, it felt like I was reading a wattpad story. The premise had soooo much potential but the execution was just awful. There were a couple of funny scenes of the mmc stalking the fmc and trying to sabotage her date, but the writing style ruined whatever potential the plot had. There were grammar errors, spelling errors, just issues galore. The concept of the book seemed so interesting, but now I'm just thoroughly disappointed. I skipped ahead to the end, and it basically felt like they decided to fix all their issues with sex. Didn't really feel like they reached any level of maturity. I just feel bad for Moses, the side-dude, for having the misfortune of falling in the middle of this couple's shit. The hero was a mega asshole and I just don't see him turning over a new leaf THAT fast. And the heroine is a gullible doormat who fell for his crap over and over again.
