I love love LOVE books that are meant to step on your heart, give you a headache AND involve a man grovelling like he was written by women... but they're also almost always wattpad-like when it comes to the structure, mapping and writing.
fast-paced

At first I felt bad for Jenzy . She felt left out, ignored by her husband.
But later I just didn’t like her or where the story is progressed.
Chris just being a workaholic, just forget abt her and have a resentment.
But what did Jenzy do , she paraded a different man in front of him only to come back to him later. What a fucked up way it is.
I know what Chris did was wrong, but he cared enough to stuck with her unlike her.
Love triangle is the worst when you haven’t divorced how can u do that. I think of it as cheating.
So its big no for
Those stars are for Chris who did enough grovelling with all his heart.

Tropes:
Marriage in trouble
Friends to lovers
Beef friends brother
No Ow
OM present

Spice

Boy did I devoured this book.

He's an arrogant, asshole and I'm a flakey bitch. The love outweighs that though.

This is not in any way a perfect book, but this is perfect for me. I cried river of tears because Jenzy was very relatable and my heart hurts reading in her POV. I wanted to cheer her and hug her.
All the side characters have their own personality and character so you can feel their presence.
I hated Chris - through out the book, I was very torn in deciding whether I actually want a happy ending or not between the couple. Even now I'm still torn with the ending.
I cringe a bit in astronomy and pet name bits, but even that eventually won me over.

I loved it. I hope it has more chapters. I wanted more.....

There is literally a 50/50 chance of them breaking up again. His groveling did seem a bit too little too late and she was annoyingly flighty in her choices, which I know is a character flaw of hers she acknowledges but it doesn’t make it any better. The fact that she got serious with another guy is a thumbs down and the way he got her back was actually really manipulative and she would be filing an order of protection also loses points. Also the fact that she was a hippie and into herbalist medicine is most definitely not for me, also everyone just brushing past his panic attack. The set up was there but the execution missed.

This book had lots of potential but due to the bad writing and grammatical errors, I couldn't feel the angst at all. Both Chris and Jenzy were ridiculous characters and I hated their choices. Chris was emotionally abusive and Jenzy was essentially a cheater in my eyes. If she wanted to leave Chris, why even fall for his tricks and go on dates with him while simultaneously being with Moses. She lead the OM on tbh. I skipped some parts because they were incredibly boring and I felt like that marriage in crisis was dealt with in a humorous way instead of a serious one. Chris didn't even grovel hard and I didn't really like that Moses guy either. Felt like a waste of my time tbh.
