intro is the main character being horny. creepy, unlikable love interest. the way they meet is so uncomfortable and overly sexual and unnatural. in their first encounter, he gets a boner… and enters her house without permission.

Holy shitttttttt 5 ⭐ this book was SO GOOD. I finished this in like 16 hours with some sleep in between cause I stayed up until 2am the first time I picked it up and could NOT put it down. The banter is top notch and so is the tension. I love the flipping back and forth between past and present and my oh my that cliffhanger. I kinda predicted what was going to happen but I don't even care cause I ate this book up! Running to read book 2!

Tangled lies and barbed promises...

When you read a blurb, it gives you insight but is meant to tease. Just enough information without spoiling the end. In the case of One is a Promise, you know what's coming...sort of. You just don't know how, when, and why.

So let me tell you...just kidding! Spoilers are evil. Just know that if you have a heart...I said if- your gut will clench, your breathing will become labored, and you may shed some tears. You will definitely want to bash some heads in and probably pay for an escort...for her, not yourself.

But in the end, you will ride a fence of hurt, desperation, and longing.

Which love will consume you?
Which lies will crush you?
What does it all mean?
