This was the first semi serious book I had read in a while.  The story was really good and I loved the characters.  It was not a super light hearted book and was actually quite dark at times but it felt hopeful and told a story that I hadn't really read or seen anywhere else. While it was not the best book I've ever read it was enjoyable.

An incredible nuanced story of strength, sensuality and growth. I was surprised by the attention paid to every side character, how each of their unique stories contributed to the larger whole.

I enjoyed this in a different way than I thought I would! The story is pleasant and compelling, and the erotic stories were mostly pretty interesting!

When the widows discover some erotic books they wish to tell their own stories based on their fantasises or memories. During the book we learn of a mysterious death of a young girl in the community which the protagonist, Nikki wishes to investigate.
