I should have gotten and read this one sooner than now! It definitely has a lot of information pertaining to his mother and Pounds who are referenced in a lot of his books. This is probably one of my favorites. Definitely read this one right away!

Connelly, Michael. The Last Coyote. Harry Bosch No. 4. Little, Brown, 1995.
Hollywood homicide detective Harry Bosch has become thoroughly estranged from the LAPD. He dreams about a lone coyote he has seen in the Hollywood Hills and with which he identifies., Placed on involuntary stress leave, he decides to investigate the decades-old unsolved murder of his mother. There are many twists and surprises along the way. This is noir police procedural at its best.

Enjoyed this one much more than the previous one in the series. Back to focusing on the crime investigation whereas there was too much courtroom time in the last one for me.

I think the later Bosch books are some of the best in the series, but The Last Coyote is still a solid entry though not as good as The Concrete Blonde. This story was maybe done better in the show, but there are some really unexpected twists here I didn't see coming. Also, it's the book in the series that is important to Bosch's back story and mission so it has that going for it too.

Was a little on the fence at first, but loved the end of this book.
