It may help to understand human affairs to be clear that most of the great triumphs and tragedies of history are caused, not by people being fundamentally good or fundamentally bad, but by people being fundamentally people.

Full of humor and wit, twists and tangents, footnotes and fantastic characters. Sometimes the story moves along quickly, sometimes it slows down for a leisurely stroll, and sometimes it gets sidetracked on one tangent or another and forgets what it was talking about in the first place, but it always moves at its own pace, and it'll get there in the (ineffable) end.

an angel and a demon try to stop armmageddon and save the world that they have become too fond of. keep in mind it was written in the 80s, so some things are handled in a way that is bit outdated. highly recommend watching the show on Amazon Prime, it's basically word-for-word the same as the book. the show specifically is
much more gay. like VERY gay
