Ok, the series has finally hooked me. The first two were a bit rough for me but this grabbed my attention and kept it. I loved how powerful Asahi was even without a voice and I appreciated the serious topics it started to address like war and how man will always fight over power. The dynamics between Asahi and the water dragon are starting to fascinate me while at the same time, the role that Subaru places makings things interest to the point that I do now really want to know what happens next. I’m ready to pick up the next volume soon!

I love that we get to see the characters grow up! The story get more and more interesting. I can defiantly see myself buying this collection. The illustrations are are beautiful. This is everything you could want in a manga!

This was better than the two volumes before it. There was more action. Asahi gets her voice back. I like the art. However, it's still not really grabbing me, which is disappointing. As I have the next book checked out from the library, I'll give it a try. 4 stars.

this volume had a weirdly quiet vibe considering that it had some relatively important developments

also if the bride thing is sticking around i feel like rei toma should consult with kore yamazaki on how to make that less immediate NOPE inducing

Since there was basically a time-jump/growing-up montage, I didn't realize until the beginning of this book that the Water Dragon never returned Asahi's voice...That, combined with the creepy trope of super-old-supernatural-dude romance with a much younger woman who he has groomed has turned me off this series.

I realize that this is a common romance genre trope, but it's just not for me, at least not anymore. (I probably would've enjoyed it when I was younger.)
