This book has really made me pay more attention to what God has been trying to say to me. This book is a life changer.

Every Christian should do this study!! It’s best with a partner or small group and is such a great way to deepen your walk no matter how long you’ve walked with God. I can’t believe I waited this long to do it but so glad I did. A new fav study I can’t wait to recommend to literally everyone!
It wasn't what I needed at the time. The faith ideas were a bit too juvenile to where I was in my faith.
Overall good book. I listened to the expanded edition, and it contained a few too many "self-plugs" for my liking, i.e.: "This individual completed the study "Experiencing God" and saw an incredible change in their life." I could pretty easily tell what the "meat" of the book was, and that was excellent. I think I will be listening to or reading this again.
This is one of my all-time favorite Christian books ever written. This book was recommended by my pastor as a book to help me better understand and distinguish my own will from that of God's will. Blackaby succinctly and methodically introduces a Biblical way in how to better understand and hear God speak to us. God speaks to us through His Word, through prayer, through circumstances, and through other people. And it is through all of these avenues that inevitably led me into full time ministry serving as a missionary to an unreached people group in Albania.
Disagreed with some of the author's foundational assertions about how God speaks, knowing the will of God, etc. Nevertheless, a good reminder of how the Gospel affects every area of a Christian's life.
Other than the Bible itself, which always always always has primacy as God's word to humanity, this book has helped me the most in connecting with God in an intimate and personal relationship. God's plan and purpose to be a personal God and friend to each and everyone is clearly expressed in the Bible, but Blackaby has done a wonderful job of making contemporary applications to help people find that connection. Also he has given a wonderful rule of thumb for that relationship: Find where God is at work and join him there. Highly Recommended.
