The Penderwicks have always been my favorite. Even now, almost a decade after I started reading them, I’m still in love and will always enjoy their adventures.

I was pleasantly surprised to be laughing out loud in this story, thoroughly accepting of the antics of all these fantastic characters.

My children were enthralled with this one, one of their favourites in this series. Jane made me roll my eyes more then once and a couple of times I had to remind myself it was secular haha. It was a story of lots of adventures & laughter with many feel-good moments.

I love the Penderwicks. Although it is a modern story, it has a classic feel to it, and the family takes its place next to Anne and the Marches in my mind and heart. As a sequel, though, this is hands down better than any sequel by L.M. Montgomery or Louisa May Alcott. The characters, full from the first story, continue to develop here, and the storyline is fresh and engaging. This book stands well on its own, though is dearer to me because I already know the characters.

The delightful Penderwick sisters are so relatable. I love these books for the innocent adventures that the sisters embark on, and how each sister is so individualized.  You will see yourself in one or more of these girls and feel a special affinity for them.

Another exciting addition to the Penderwicks adventures. It was fun to see each of the girls take on new roles...well except Rosiland, who is pretty much out of the picture in this book.
