Jo Firestone is fucking hilarious. I listened to her on the Mean Book Club podcast, and just finished the book:

1. Do you know how hard it is to land jokes through a book? I laughed out loud dozens of times, and I think this might genuinely be one of the top 3 funniest mysteries i’ve ever read. Normally mystery books are so serious and humorless, but not this one. This one is packed with cutting and insanely comedic observations about characters.

2. I listened to the audiobook, and Jo Firestone is a fabulous reader of her work. The voices, the delivery, the inflection, everything was spot on and much better than I would have done if I didn’t have Jo reading it to me.

3. All the threads were tied up perfectly, kudos for no plot holes.

I could write so much more, but I want to keep eating my breakfast. Read this book ASAP (and check out Mean Book Club, Jo Firestone is on 2 episodes, On the Road by Jack Kerouac and Murder on Sex Island by Jo Firestone! That’s right!
