Audiobook - Interesting concept but predictable that they ended up together in a relationship instead of did just playing in the boardroom.

Daaaaaaang Cara! I’m definitely going to have a book hangover from this. The emotion, the rawness, the protective mmc, the relatable fmc, and the smut….so good. I’m going to have to buy myself some pearls so I can clutch them! I don’t even know how to review this. It’s incredible and totally lived up to the hype. I do wish we could have gotten Kel’s pov…but other than that it was absolutely perfect! 5 stars

I really don't know what rating to give this one. I had it highly recommended to me as a great erotic romance and I will agree that the sex scenes were hot. However, there were a lot of "off" moments in the story for me. Part of me wonders if it's because it was written almost a decade ago and a lot has changed in my requirements for contemporary romance in that time.

After the passing of her grandmother, Erin Coffey seeks out a position where she can put her LPN to use and keep an eye on her volatile baby sister and nephew. The only immediate option open to her is in the locked ward of Larkhaven, a psychiatric facility not too far from her sister. There she meets the kind of rough, brooding hulk of a man her unreliable mother or sister would fall for. But as she begins to explore her unwanted attraction to Kelly Roback, she discovers that her first impression might be totally wrong, and that maybe even a self-proclaimed feminist can find pleasure in the arms of a man who likes to be in charge.

I can put up with a lot of outdated notions in historical romance as long as the characters treat each other respectfully, but in this contemporary it grated on my nerves. I was glad that my misgivings about how the patient at Larkhaven were treated turned out to be completely misplaced. An enjoyably steamy romance, just keep in mind that it was written before the #MeToo movement.
