I don't think celebrity comedian memoirs are for me anymore.

This was a fun and lighthearted read. I think if you like Parks and Rec or any of Retta's work then you'll enjoy this read. She discusses several topics, including her obsession with Hamilton, purses and meeting celebrities.

I had a few issues, specifically her chapter on being lazy in which she calls out handicap individuals who apparently don't deserve handicap parking spaces because they don't have to walk....Hopefully she understands that not all handicap people are in wheelchairs and that they need those spaces because they need more room to get in and out of cars.

I also of course had issues with her fat phobia comments. This book just shows that anti-fat bias exists in every space, no matter your size. She discusses her weight and I liked how in the end she at least talks about how she's taking care of her body without worrying about her weight specifically. However she talks a lot about dieting and stigmas on fat people, so I would advise any readers if that would trigger you.

So in the end it made me laugh and cringe at certain parts. I highly recommend the audiobook because her inflections are important to the book. It honestly feels like she's just talking to you, she sings and laughs so I definitely think the audio adds something to the book.
