Loved it! πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™ Such a good book and written so well. I wish Able and Riley’s book would have been as good as Braxton/Clover and Ava/Dean

Braxton is by far the darkest "sick boy" and Clover is by far the most innocent "sick girl". This one was probably my least favorite of the series, and having different narrators threw me off a bit.

Bloody Cruel Psycho is the 5th book in the Sick Boys series by Lucy Smoke.

I was so looking forward to Brax's book. Braxton Smalls is one of the 3 sick boys, Dean, Abel, and himself. I loved this book, I listened to it on audio, it caught me off guard in places though. I understand his POV, but I also understand Ava's and Dean's. I love that Ava's story is also one of the main plot points of this book.

What caught me off guard was the love at first sight aspect of Brax's and Clover's story. I didn't see that coming from someone like Braxton Smalls. I understand why he kept searching for Ace despite Ava and Dean not working as hard to find him for revenge. At the same time, it isn't his revenge to seek because Ace didn't kidnap, torture, and almost kill him. He did all those things for Ava and Dean, whom he cares for so much. His thought process on his father being behind it all makes sense as to why he would feel the responsibility, thinking that in a way it was also his fault, but I constantly caught myself saying back to the book, "Brax, it isn't your fault."

I did still really enjoy this book, though I can't see myself reading it (or in this case listening to it) again, so I'm rating it 3.5 stars. I found the FMC to be more on the annoying side compared to Ava and Rylie. She was very whiny and needy in parts, but her "other personality," if you will, was the more dominant one that she kept wanting to stay hidden.
